Solinst Model 201 WLT Meter, 100’

The Model 201 Water Level Temperature (WLT) Meter measures static water levels and also profiles temperature in wells, boreholes, tanks, and open water. Temperature measurements are shown on an LCD display located on the meter’s faceplate. Water level and probe depth measurements are read off the durable PVDF flat tape. The Model 201’s probe is made of 316 stainless steel, and the pressure-proof probe can be submerged up to 1,000 feet (300 meters). The zero measurement point is close to the tip of the probe, keeping water displacement at a minimum. Once the zero point of the probe enters water, a buzzer and light are activated. Depth can then be read from the flat tape. A tape guide helps to ensure reliable, repeatable, accurate depth measurements when profiling a well and also protects the tape from damage. When taking temperature measurements at discrete depths, the buzzer can be turned off. The 3/8˝W PVDF tape features permanent laser markings every 1/100 ft. (or each millimeter), is corrosion- and chemical-resistant, reels smoothly, and remains flexible. In addition to a rugged standalone reel with an ergonomic handle and brake, the Model 201 features a menu-driven display and automatic shut-off after 8 minutes to preserve battery power. One 9V alkaline battery provides 90 hours of operation.
